The view from my small kitchen window over my sink; a fleeting tropical paradise of color, texture and perfume. Parting will be such sweet sorrow...
The gardens, despite everything, were awesome anyway this year. I love creating the world with my own hands... bringing elements to this clime and making them flourish despite it.

| I mourn their passing... so late to life this year, yet so stunning. Realize half these babies get dug up and brought in for the winter... its hard making Tropicals survive MI winters.
Cannas, asters, flox...
The Birds of Paradise and Banana Trees I soon will have to dig and move inside.
Dainty feathery cosmos against the leathery Cannas.
A late surprise rebloom of a Clematis.
And a shrimp plant by a Yucca Tree on the deck.
