I've been calling and writing my asshole senators and clearly it isn't having an effect. Thursday, I decided to try a different tactic. I spoke with a very polite staffer in John McCain's office and I told him in very direct language that if the good senator continues to play political games I'd do everything within my power to see that he isn't re elected in November.
Spitting into the wind?
Probably.
I wouldn't have given the gasbag my vote anyway but he doesn't have to know that. More importantly, I went into detail about the many friends, neighbors and relatives I'd be turning to kick his ass out of office, the fundraising planned for his democratic opponent and my many contacts within the precinct and the party.
It's not just my daughter, it's millions and the longer this goes on, the worse it's going to get. People have to pay rent, buy food, keep the utilities on. Take a look at this - it chills me to see the same mistakes, the same patterns repeating.
The unemployed are being called lazy & shiftless, companies won't accept applications for job openings unless you're already employed, a bad credit rating will automatically disqualify you for employment with some firms and there are 5 applicants for every job offered.
I think we should start learning hobo signs.
