I saw this yesterday and found a clip today.
Kevin Ovenden of Britain said a man who had pointed a camera at the soldiers was shot directly through the forehead with live ammunition, with the exit wound blowing away the back of his skull."
Stories are starting to emerge that the number of passengers arrested or their dead bodies brought ashore does not jibe with the number of those supposed to have been with the flotilla.
It could be that there has been some "losing track" in the confusion, or that the Israelis simply threw bodies overboard. We need to follow this story closely and -- as more details emerge -- make sure that it is known. It is potentially devastating.
In other words, at this point, if you ask, "What can I really do that makes a difference?" my answer is to make sure that the voices of the passengers are heard. They may not speak English. They are being reported in the foreign press, but barely picked up in the U.S. But we can make a difference. |
