Fair Use and Deletions
Our fair use agreement is linked at the bottom of every page. This agreement can be pre-empted by the wishes of the Author if so Posted on any Essay entered on WWL.
We do however retain the right to delete any post or essay we find objectionable.
If you TRULY get pissed at the site and wish to d/l your work, please delete only your content, not the comments, they belong to others.
I have made the mistake of deleting my previous blog at the insistence of others, and by harassment and wished I had not. My mistakes only happen once.

That said, how picky are we? Well fuck, not very if I used the word "fuck" in my rule book. However, anything that would get your ass knocked out in a bar might just get your comment goned.
Seriously, we all have a huge sense of humor and are not reactively PC. Real hate speech not allowed, but calling Ann Coulter a cunt? No problemo.

Outing Posters
Real names, addresses or private information about any anonymous poster is insta-ban at any site. I think it is a fair enough rule.
However, if a person has repeatedly used their real name in conjunction with their sign name, or has offered information publicly on this blog, I will expect no one to pretend to "unknow it." You want anonymity, be anonymous. You tell us your name, rank and serial number a thousand times and a month later want anonymity; it's your own stupidity.

Posting Essays
Post whatever you like, however you like! Your work, your aesthetics. (I personally get a headache reading font on a black background, but if it's your thing, so be it.)
There are no taboos as to Israel-Palestinian issues or 9-11 like other sites. I believe all sides of a story deserve scrutiny, not just "accepted" versions.
"Call-out" essays naming, referring to or ridiculing another's work is total Bullshit at WWL. You will be asked to take it down and reword it to speak to the issue and your opinion, not flame another member. Essays that do so will be removed by me, or other admins. Comments that are insulting and are nothing more than an attempt to start a flame war will also be removed.
Either cite many examples or none; better yet, make your OWN point without naming anyone. That is divisionary tactic rather than a teaching, helping tool.
If you want childish bickering, you know the blog at which you can feed that pathetic hunger.

Bannable Crap
I do not want to get bogged down in rulesiness. (yeah, I coin words when I need them, heh)
Lively discussion = Good.
Asshattery = Bad.
I, or one of my admin's will ask you to stand down and warn you before banning.
Everyone has a bad day, and in a site full of artist types and passionate people, heated happens. I know that.
You have a bad day and go off on someone? No big.
If its pattern behavior? It may become a BIG, if it disrupts the site and runs off the membership.
Too many sites die under a vocal minority, (kind of like freedom from religion did) in my humble opinion. If you barrage or stalk one poster constantly, or create a little gang to dKos-cop the site, you will be invited to go somewhere that fits you better.
This is NOT as tough as it may sound in print.
I intend to confer with my admin's when I feel someone is crossing the boundaries to ensure all angles are scrutinized, and will always try peace before fire.
You have to say entirely offensive things to cross that line, or be so consistently disruptive that your intent CLEARLY is not dialogue but disruption.

0's can be used two ways, and only two ways.
To HIDE something that is beyond the pale of no redeeming value whatsoever, ugly and bad....
or to JOKE with a friend and lob a donut as a joke.
Please don't get pissy and use them unless someone is being that bad.
Like wildly foul bad, and no admin is on to stop it.

Sockpuppetry
Again, something I don't much give a fuck about. People use them to be online without expectations, or to make a joke, or to uprate something deserving, its cool.
If you use it to harass someone, its utterly childish and vindictive and will be noted.
This also gets into "outing" and IMO, if a sockpuppet is that transparent someone puts two and two together, then tough luck, dumbass. You are too lame to have one, LOL!!!

Meh, read this essay and it covers how I think it relates to blogging.
That said, I am all for eliminating the "dirty" from words. Like "FUCK!"... now that is a beautiful expressionate word. Free "Fuck"!!!!
